In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, Everglades National Park and its partners proudly hosted the Everglades Wilderness Writing Expedition! This program engaged 10 aspiring writers and journalists, ages 18-25, on an exploration of wilderness, self-discovery and environmental writing. These aspiring writers embarked on the journey of a lifetime to discover the beauty and complexity of the Everglades wilderness.

STEP 2:  Click on the link below and read the following information which provides a deeper understanding of the expectations and commitments necessary for the multi night excursion with NC Outward Bound School.

STEP 3:  Click on the link below and download the following medical and consent forms. Complete the forms and scan them so that they can be uploaded to your online applicant. Completing these forms is a requirement for all applicants. Applicants who have not done this step will not be considered.

    I can open the medical forms but not download them nor print them. I've tried doing both through Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. Help?

      Thanks for letting me know that the link wasn';t working properly. I have updated the link for the medical form and it appears to be working now. If you have any trouble please don't hestitate to email me at sabrina_diaz@nps.gov and I can send you the forms electronically.

    I love the idea of this program, but trying to use docstoc to manage the files is a massive pain in the butt. I've jumped through a dozen hoops already and it still won't let me download the flier. And I'm just trying to get a PDF! Why don't you just put the file on a regular webserver and link to it?

      Good Morning! I am so sorry that the links have been difficult. I have done as you suggested, and created a link to our park website for easy access to forms and pdf's. The page should be approved in the next 24 hours and I will post the link as soon as it becomes active. In the meantime please email me and I can send you the forms electronically if needed.       Yes, non US citizens can apply so long as you currently reside in South Florida.
